Fishing Report 5-23
We started today in front of harbor for kings with no luck . By the time we arrived at the "trout grounds" south of Ludington the bite was on the tail end. We did manage to get 13 bites boating 4 nice lake trout. We lost a nice steelhead, another big silver fish and a laker at the back of the boat. Several times we had lakers on momentarily only to shake off.
And the picture truly reflects the results of a great AM fishing trip!
Bites came on wire divers
bumping bottom with Dreamweaver chrome spindoctors / UV lime green whirly gigs, Chrome two face spindoctor with firetiger whirly gig, 1 1/2 lead ball with geen/lime tin can and green spin n glo, 1/3 color lead core with yeck beetle spoon, 5 color lead core with stinger naked jarod.
There were reports of a good king bite both north and south of Ludington in 100 + FOW.
